Hiking in Arches National Park

We've decided that Arches National Park is every bit as beautiful and spectacular as the Grand Canyon.

Hiking was difficult the first day thanks to 100 degree weather coupled with humidity and the high altitude. Yesterday, though, was perfect with the light drizzle and clouds.

Here's a hand full of my favorite photos. It's hard to capture the magnitude and colors - so we experimented.

Also included is my very first wild prairie dog - I was only able to get a couple of shots before he darted back into his hole.
